Brian Sea is an independent creative producer of music, dance, and opera performance. Based in Los Angeles, he specializes in creating site-responsive work for unconventional spaces and developing projects through his company, Standard Stages. From grassroots to rooftops, he has presented work with Center for the Art of Performance UCLA, Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles (MOCA), Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE), The Industry, homeLA, Metro Arts, Los Angeles Performance Practice, and 2220 Arts and Archives.
Brian is currently the production director and producer for the orchestral collective Wild Up and also works with a cohort of artists on the development and presentation of new works. Recent projects include WAKE by Jay Carlon and APOLAKI: Opera of the Scorched Earth by Micaela Tobin. He has also produced projects and public programs with the experimental opera company The Industry, including Yuval Sharon's The Comet / Poppea and Malik Gaines & Alexandro Segade's STAR CHOIR at the Mount Wilson Observatory. Brian received his MFA from California Institute of the Arts.
